FC Cincinnati gets ESPN spotlight after 1-0 victory over Columbus Crew

FC Cincinnati in their statement win over the Columbus Crew made it onto SportsCenter, ESPN's flagship show. FCC attracted a crowd of 30,000+ to their stadium in the heart of the Universtiy of Cincinnati's campus. FCC will now advance to play the MLS's Chicago Fire in the fifth round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.

Since the MLS does not usually even get time on SportsCenter, it was a huge plus to see a USL-MLS matchup. This game ended in a 1-0 victory for the home team as FCC's main striker Djiby Fall scored in the 64'.

FCC is one of the 12 teams that are vying for a bid into the MLS, and with a win like this, it is even more likely that they get the bid.

Hopefully, FCC can do it again against the Fire and become a regular on the SVP ESPN show.
