FCC snaps four-game winning streak in loss to Rhinos

FC Cincinnati lost to the Rochester Rhinos on a 65th minute goal by Bradley Kamdem Fewo on Saturday evening. In his seven games played, this was Fewo's first goal to keep the Rhinos undefeated at home. With this victory, Rochester extends its winning streak to three games while snapping FCC's four-game winning streak.

FCC had previously won four straight homes games, two of which were games advancing them in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. After FCC plays the Charlotte Independence at home (a very winnable game), they will continue that tournament as they face in-state rival the Columbus Crew in what is being called the "Hell is Real" rivalry.

With this loss, FCC drops to No. 7 in the Eastern Conference. They will need a strong showing at home against the No. 12 Charlotte Independence on June 10th. This loss was almost to be expected though as striker Djiby Fall was still suspended and the team gave goalkeeper Mitch Hildebrandt a much-needed rest. The team had been busy having six games in the last 21 days, so their rest will be crucial in preparing them for the upcoming few home games.

FCC shouldn't have any problem getting back on track especially with this nice home stand coming up.
