Recap: FC Cincinnati crushes Louisville City FC in front of record crowd

FC Cincinnati handed Louisville City FC their first home loss of the season as a record number, 11,632, showed up to Slugger field. FCC won the game 3-2. This victory put FCC in 6th place in the Eastern Conference with 27 points.

Louisville City did double FCC's shots, and they crushed the possession 61% to 39%. The game itself was a five-goal thriller. In the 7', FCC's beloved defender Harrison Delbridge slid in the box and the cross in deflected off his hand, and it was called. The penalty kick put Louisville FC up 1-0 and gave them the momentum moving forward.

Djiby Fall then scored his 10th goal as FCC equalized the game at 1.
Josu then made the save of the game as he subbed on and stopped a ball that beat Mitch and was about to roll over the goal line. The momentum again shifted back to FCC's side as defender Harrison Delbridge scored the team's second goal of the match.

As Djiby subbed off 77', Danny Konig IMMEDIATELY made his presence felt, putting FCC up 3-1.

Then in the 92' minute, Louisville scored on an own goal by Andrew Wiedeman. Just a few seconds after the kickoff following the goal, FCC kicked it back and then rocketed it in the air to secure the three points and move on up the table.

All-in-all, this was a thrilling victory for FCC and a terrific game for both fan bases.
