FC Cincinnati: Djiby Fall given USL Team of the Week honors
Djiby Fall, who did not play in FC Cincinnati's international friendly on Monday night against Valencia CF, was awarded USL Team of the Week honors. He was awarded these a week after teammates Josu and Harrison Delbridge received the honor following the team's victory over Louisville City FC.
Fall scored and assisted in FCC's 3-0 smacking of the Harrisburg City Islanders. This victory bumped FCC into fifth on the Eastern Conference table. While impressive, FCC has played 20 games, two more than the sixth place Bethlehem Steel and three more than the Rochester Rhinos who are in seventh place. The moment you all have been waiting for is here!— USL (@USL) July 25, 2017

After dropping their international friendly to Valencia CF, FCC will have a huge game against the Rhinos on the 29th in front of what should be another packed house at Nippert.
For Djiby, his goal against the Islanders was his 11th of the season. If you include U.S. Open Cup play, it was his 14th goal. Djiby is tied with Herrera from the Charlotte Independence for 2nd in the Eastern Conference in scoring. Both strikers are chasing the USL's top goal scorer, Romario Williams of the Charleston Battery. Djiby, when he goes to shoot, has been lethal. 11 of his 25 shots in USL competition has found the back of the net.
The 32-year-old Fall is one of the league's premier strikers and has garnered attention from MLS clubs also. With a total of 1,029 minutes along with 12 starters, there is no good reason why Djiby Fall couldn't continue his hot streak against the Rhinos on Saturday.
