FC Cincinnati: Harrison Delbridge and Josu Currais nominated to USL Team of the Week

FC Cincinnati had just one game this past week, but it was a thriller. As a packed house at Slugger Field became ectastic after a 7' minute handball on Delbridge that led to a penalty kick and a 1-0 Louisville City lead, FCC's very own Djiby Fall struck back for the Orange and Blue. The crowd at Slugger Field, with the help of some traveling FCC fans, set an attendance record for Louisville City.

After being knotted at 1 for a while, Tyler Polak was brutally fouled, and he was taken out of the game for Josu Currais. Currais, within just minutes of being subbed in, deflected a ball that was about to cross the FCC goal line. Then, in the 56', Harrison Delbridge put the ball in the back of the net on a header. The ball was delivered Josu. That was Delbridge's second goal of the season. The tall defender is truly known for his incredible 63.7% dual success rate.

Josu stopped a goal and delivered a scoring ball while Delbridge scored and was his usually anchor for the backline. These two performances along with a goal from Djiby and a late goal from Konig were the reason that FCC was allowed to claw away three points from their rival.

Being elected to the team of the week is an honor. Their performances were as huge as the three point FCC was able to gain. FCC now sits at 6th in the Eastern Conference and has another huge USL game against Harrisburg this Saturday.
