FC Cincinnati seeks revenge against Rochester in a huge Eastern Conference battle

20,000+ are expected to be in attendance for 80's night to watch FC Cincinnati face off against Rochester Rhinos at Nippert Stadium on Saturday in what could be a big match for the playoff push.

FC Cincinnati is currently sitting in 5th place with 30 points (20 games played), just one place and one point above Rochester who have played two fewer games (18 games played). A win would give Cincinnati a little more wiggle room as crunch time approaches and add on to their best ever 3 game USL win streak.

The Orange & Blue boast a +6 goal difference heading into the weekend after demolishing Harrisburg City last week 3-0. Top scorer Djiby (11 goals), Danni Konig (6 goals), and Jimmy McLaughlin (2 goals) all found the back of the net and will hope to do so again to beat a tough Rochester team that toppled FCC earlier this season 1-0 in Rochester. Even after playing a high profile friendly against Valencia CF of La Liga earlier this week, Cincinnati should be on decent rest due to playing backups for most of the game. Stars Djiby Fall and Harrison Delbridge both did not even see field time in the international friendly.

Koch will field a full strength squad and hope for no injuries with a massive game coming up mid-week in the US Open Cup quarterfinal against Miami FC in Miami. That game will be played with a chance to bring a semi final Cup matchup back to Nippert.

Regardless of what that match may bring, FC Cincinnati needs to focus on their USL play, and this will be a huge game for them. Here is their game key for tomorrow.

Game Key: Attack

FC Cincinnati has two of the top ten scorers in the USL's Eastern Conference. Rochester does not have anyone with more than 5 goals. While Rochester may not put the ball in the back of the net often (only 20 times this season), they do lead the Eastern Conference in clean sheets. Getting on the board will be huge for FC Cincinnati as they attempt to snag three huge points at home.
