Djiby Fall OUT against New York Red Bulls and Orlando City B
The shocking news broke today that Djiby Fall will be suspended for FC Cincinnati's next Open Cup game against the New York City Red Bulls. FC Cincinnati will host the Red Bulls after wins against AFC Cleveland, Louisville City FC, the Columbus Crew, the Chicago Fire, and now Miami FC.
Djiby Fall picked up yellow cards in the games against AFC Cleveland and Louisville FC. Apparently, he also picked up one last night, against Miami FC, although most did not realize it. It was late in the game around the 90' or even after in stoppage time.
For league play, Djiby Fall's double yellow against Rochester in a game that was officiated horribly by Guido Gonzalez will keep him off the pitch Saturday against Orlando City B. Djiby Fall has been instrumental in FCC's team success. He is the lead goal scorer with 11 league goals and 4 Cup goals, putting him at 15 total for the season.ALERT: @baye_djiby (Djiby Fall) will miss @fccincinnati's #USOC2017 Semifinal against @NewYorkRedBulls for accumulation of yellow cards (3).— U.S. Open Cup (@opencup) August 3, 2017
Since the recently added Kyle Greig is not yet eligible to play in Cup play, the attack will be spearheaded by Danni Konig with a combination of Jimmy McLaughlin, Matt Bahner, Justin Hoyte, Josu feeding ball into him. This will be a huge damper on FCC's attack that actually outshot Miami FC en route to their 1-0 victory in their quarterfinal matchup.
Between the two games, Djiby Fall will be eligible to play against Louisville City on August 12.
