FC Cincinnati: Djiby Fall gives fans and club a final farewell

As it appears now, it does not look like Djiby Fall will be part of FC Cincinnati in 2018. While it is sad, one of the USL's top goal scorers should not have a problem finding a new soccer home. The 32-year-old tweeted out a farewell to the fans and thanked the coaches for all they have done.
Djiby Fall, or just Djiby as he is known around Cincinnati, scored 12 USL goals this season. He ended 2017 tied for 11th in the USL in scoring and had golden boot aspirations at several points throughout the season. Djiby finished 2017 as FCC's leading goal scorer. With 60 shots, Djiby was able to put exactly half on target en route to a fantastic 2017 campaign.

Djiby should be remembered for one of two games. His four-goal game against Saint Louis was one to remember and certainly kicked off the 2017 season well. Although, to be honest, when thinking about Djiby, one goal comes to mind.

This goal sent over 30,000 people screaming. This goal gave Cincinnati hope for an MLS team. This goal proved anything is possible. Hopefully, by now, you guessed it, but if not, it is the goal against the Columbus Crew. Not only did FCC win the #HellIsReal Rivalry, but they were also able to extend their US Open Cup run which helped garner attention from Don Garber, MLS's commissioner.

From Bailey Banter and hopefully all of Cincinnati, we thank Djiby Fall for all the wonderful memories and wish him the best moving forward.
