FC Cincinnati: Eastern Conference Playoff Picture

Teams 1-5 of the Eastern Conference have clinched their berth, and LCFC have clinched the Conference's top overall seed.

1. Louisville City, FC (17-6-8) 59 points

Louisville City has locked up the number one see in the USL Eastern Conference playoffs. Charlotte, who holds the number 2 seed, with only two games left is more than six points back. Louisville City is coming off of a fantastic regular season with a goal differential of twenty-five! They will definitely be a forced to be reckoned with, but remember FC Cincinnati is 1-1-1 against them this season meaning we have proven we can beat them.

2. Charlotte Independence (14-8-9) 51 points

3. Tampa Bay Rowdies (13-7-11) 50 points

4. Charleston Battery (13-9-9) 48 points

5. Rochester Rhinos (12-7-11) 47 points

6. New York Red Bulls II (13-13-5) 44 points

The Red Bulls know how to get points. The team rarely draws, and they have won four of their last six, and, to no ones surprise, lost the other two. Their defense is what needs to improve. In nine of the 31 games they have played, their defense has given up 3 or more goals. Come playoff time, this will be a problem, but until then, they might continue their hot streak as they take on Rochester for their last game.

7. Bethlehem Steel (12-11-7) 43 points

The Bethlehem Steel are one of two teams with a pair of games remaining, so the likelihood they gain a victory over Rochester or Saint Louis is probable. The Steel were thought to be on their way out of the playoff chase, but winning two of their last six and being unbeaten through all six has bounced them up into playoff position. This team has a good chance to make the playoffs, but they must earn a result. A win would solidify them a playoff spot, and two ties could also do the trick.

8. FC Cincinnati (11-10-10) 43 points

FC Cincinnati went into Canada with a six game unbeaten streak on the line. Not only did they lose the streak, they were absolutely obliterated by one of the worst Eastern Conference sides. FCC lost 4-0 to Ottawa Fury FC on Sunday, and now their playoff security is in jeopardy. A win would solidly their spot, and a tie along with a OCB tie would also solidly their spot. They do get to play the East's worst team in Toronto City II for their last game, so that should shed some light on the situation. Coach Koch and his team will be under much scrutiny if they fail to make the playoffs after such an electric US Cup run.

Get a win and move on, FCC. We believe in you.

9. Orlando City B (10-9-12) 42 points

Orlando City B lost to the New York Red Bulls II in a crucial game on October 7. This game was one of the most exciting for any USL team this season as 11 combined goals were scored. OCB scored five goals and still lost. They will need a big win as they take on the Tampa Bay Rowdies for their final game of the regular season. These teams most recent result was a 1-1 draw. But, as FCC fans, a loss for OCB would secure a playoff spot for the Orange and Blue.

10. Harrisburg City Islanders (10-15-7) 37 points

The Harrisburg City Islanders have been eliminated from playoff contention. After winning two straight to give themselves some playoff hope, the Islanders lost in two back-to-back to be completely eliminated.

11. Ottawa Fury FC (8-10-13) 37 points

The Ottawa Fury have been eliminated from playoff contention.

12. Saint Louis FC (9-14-8) 35 points

Saint Louis FC has been eliminated from playoff contention.

13. Pittsburgh Riverhounds (8-12-11) 35 points

The Pittsburgh Riverhounds have been eliminated from playoff contention.
14. Richmond Kickers (8-15-8) 32 points

The Richmond Kickers have been eliminated from playoff contention.

15. Toronto FC II (6-18-7) 25 points
